Luke 16:1-13

“There was a rich man who had a manager, and charges were brought to him that this man was squandering his property.”

In this week’s Gospel Jesus tells the story of the “Dishonest Manager,” surprising us by lifting up this “shrewd”man as an example to be imitated by his followers. Are we called to practice love by any means necessary?  What does it mean to be a “shrewd” follower of Jesus?  Perhaps faith is not as submissive as some people think, but to the contrary has a bold sharp edge to it.

      1. Feel Good, Feel Right

Feel good, feel right
Come on baby make it through the night
Stand up, be tall
Don’t let ‘em push you ’round you know you’ll only fall
Sparkling eyes
Don’t let the spark be extinguished by lies

Reach out, reach deep
Draw in close use your body heat
Wise as a serpent, innocent as a dove
Forget your limits and know your love

Sparkling eyes
Don’t let the spark be extinguished by lies

Grasp your image, know your mind
Look into the mirror and know your times
Be who you are, be true
Nobody has to tell you what to do

Sparkling eyes
Don’t let the spark be extinguished by lies

Feel good, feel right
Come on baby make it through the night
Stand up, be tall
Don’t let ‘em push you ’round you know you’ll only fall

Sparkling eyes
Don’t let the spark be extinguished by lies
